A tale of a Dragonfly....

Finding your way in this big and endless world, is one of the most difficult of journeys. So many experiences one will encounter and endure. One of my many and wonderful ongoing adventures I would like to share, is my story of Dragonfly. At the age of twenty one I decided to go for a life changing adventure and to just pack up my car, taking only my clothes, a tent and my puppy and leave my home town in Alabama; where to go.... I was not so sure.

After many tenting experiences I found myself in a relationship and before too long connected to a wonderful family. This is when I met Judith Lang; we moved to Boulder, Co. and opened up Dragonfly. There were four of us all working away... two months straight..... and all sicker than dogs, but we opened the day after Thanksgiving 1999. We were a big success... everyone loved the store. After 10 years now you will see the learning experiences that we have gone through... good and informational. Although I'm not married into the family anymore we are all still a family. Judith now had three stores and when the economy went down it became to much to support, and so she decided to size back down to the one store; Spotted Bear in Tao's, NM. All of our dear and loving customers were heartbroken we were going to close, this is when I decided I would take Dragonfly over to keep our little shop going for everyone to enjoy. I now have an amazing staff who are all family to me... three wonderful women. Judith has moved back to Taos and still runs and owns Spotted Bear.

Judith and I were a amazing team..... so many stories and great times. Judith and I stayed close through many wonderful events and changes in life. I'm married to an extraordinary man and yet again a part of another amazing family, without him I could not do this adventure. Times are harder now, but we love what we do and we hope everyone else will as well, the rest of the tale has yet to begin....

I would like to thank my loving husband with all his love and support for me and the business, baby I couldn't do it without you, I love you more than words could ever express, and to my family and all my wonderful friends I love you all so much thank you for all your love and support, and to my girls who work for me, Ya'll are so awesome and wonderful thank you for all the hard work,love and support to me and the business, and to Judith a special thank you for your wonderful creation of Dragonfly, and all the teaching and training you gave to me through out the years, but most of all for believing in me , looking forward to many more shopping trips together.

The biggest thank you of all is to all of Dragonfly's loyal and special customers who have been here for us through out the years. Thank you for loving us ! We love each and everyone of as well. And look forward to having that list grow and grow!
